About Our Coach

My name is Kayona Moreland. I founded My Health Reassurance (MHR), a medical walk-in, wellness, and day spa in Fayetteville, GA. I have been a nurse for 15 years and a nurse practitioner for six years. I loved bedside nursing, but early on in my career, I knew it wasn’t something I wouldn’t be doing long-term. My background was ICU (intensive care  unit) and after seven long years of working night shift and taking care of critical patients, I decided to go back to school to get my Masters in Nursing and become a Family Nurse Practitioner.
In April 2019, I would later become an entrepreneur and open MHR, offering wellness services centered around health promotion and chronic disease prevention. By default, I started a business, but I had zero experience with opening one. Being the go-getter I am, I didn’t let that stop me and went full force with opening a wellness clinic offering DOT physicals, immunization, and urgent care services.
It wasn’t generating enough income. It wasn’t profitable to fully take me out of the hospital as a bedside nurse practitioner, which was my ultimate end goal. I knew I had to add services that were profitable but yet complimented what I already had. Networking on social media in a business group for nurse practitioners, I came across IV hydration therapy. I was already familiar with the concept of placing IVs with my experience as a nurse; however, I was unaware it was a multimillion dollar industry. I began doing my research and immediately found an IV hydration startup course.
When I first finished my training, I had mixed emotions. Furthermore, my IV hydration course revealed that I didn’t correctly set up my business entity. I wasn’t using marketing, nor had I done any homework to understand my targeting audience or even knew what that meant. I hired a marketing coach to teach me the ins and out of marketing. I researched my industry to see what my competitors were doing differently. I increased my knowledge level through ongoing continuing education, and before I knew it, my business was scaling in a different direction.  In September 2020, I was able to create an IV hydration business startup course, sharing a blueprint that I didn't have and teaching new entrepreneurs how to avoid mistakes that I made. This was the birth of MHR Elite Coaching, LLC.
